Those attending the Professional course must consider this essential course. Open to other professionals and those seeking to brush up their skills, it is a week long course of drawing up a garden design plan with all the necessary accompanying drawings to make it workable and aesthetic.
Treat yourself, a friend or member of the family to a memorable day out as the first step to creating a beautiful garden. The day will include lunch and a trip out to visit a local garden with expert guidance from your Tutor, Garden Designer Nigel Philips.
This course is divided in two. The first part will be taken up with designing and drawing up a plan for a garden area. This plan can either be your own garden or a friends or a project set on the course. The other part will be devoted to learning more about plants and how to associate them together in a planting plan culminating in a completed garden design inked and coloured in.
This course is open to those seeking a change in career and who have no previous experience in garden design. Based upon the requirements proposed by membership to the Society of Garden Designers (SGD) at Educator Status, it provides a sound vocational basis for the real world of business. The course is ideal for those seeking a change of career or those who wish to offer the additional service of design to their clients to advance an existing business such as landscape contracting, nursery practice, Architecture or Interior design.
