This viticulture workshop explores the relationship between canopy organisation and grape crop (yield and quality).
Starting with key theories in the interactions between the canopy and grapevine reproductive physiology, the course will enable you to evaluate different summer pruning operations by reviewing the latest research in this field.
This course is useful for vineyard managers and senior vineyard staff as well as people interested in this key area of vineyard science.

      - Pruning & trellising
      - Shoot positioning
      - Trimming and palissage
      - Leaf stripping
      - Fruit thinning


Enrty Requirmenets:

WineSkills workshops are best suited for people who have attended Principles of Vinegrowing or have worked in vineyards before

Equipment Required:

This session will include some practical activity, so suitable foot wear, outdoor and all-weather clothing are required.
