This viticulture workshop explores grapevine nutrition requirements and strategies.
Starting with key methods in the measuring vine nutritional requirements, the course will enable you to design an effective and sustainable vine nutrition strategy.
This course is particularly suitable for vineyard managers and senior vineyard staff, as well as people interested in this key area of viticultural science.

- Petiole, leaf and sap analysis
- Plant observation
Use and application of:
- Organic matter
- Mineral fertilisers
- Green manure
Relationship between vine nutrition and soil type
Entry Requirements- WineSkills workshops most suitable for people who have attended Principles of Vinegrowing or have experience in commercial vineyards.
Equipment Required- There may be some practical activity in this workshop, so please bring suitable foot wear, outdoor and all-weather clothing .
