As part of the Management of Animal Collections module, we will be visiting Tilgate Park in Crawley where we will be shown what goes into effective enclosure design. We will have a workshop with zoo staff, an appraisal activity and a tour of the zoo. Tilgate Park is a unique zoo because it is run by the council with a priority being accessibility for local people. Given the local nature of the zoo, students will make their own way to and from the trip. Minibus transport can be provided on request for those without transport access. Please do consider the environmental impact of your travel, and lift share where possible.
