~About Plumpton Estate~
Plumpton College is the UK’s Centre of Excellence in wine
training, education, and research. Our award-winning
Plumpton Estate sparkling and still wines are produced by
the wine students, working alongside our team of vineyard
and winemaking experts.
~Production Note~
Plumpton Estate Brut Reserve is a powerful blend of Reising,
Seyval Blanc, Pinot Blanc and Regner. The base wine is
fermented in tank, then again once in bottle. This wine has
been aged for five years on lees to infuse pronounced
tertiary aromas. The unique blend of several varieties
produces a one-of-a-kind, alternative wine to traditional
method champagne varietal wines.
~Tasting Note~
Clear, defined aromas of yellow plum and pears give centre
stage to a powerful nose of brioche and tarte aux amandes.
Rich mouthfeel that evolves from toast into citrus. Pair with
fish and poultry as well as tartes and cheeseboards.
